Our Wedding!

Sunday, August 19th, 2018 at 6 pm | Laglio, Lake Como, Italy

We are so excited to be able to celebrate with you! We went back and forth on what kind of wedding we wanted to have, and ultimately decided that celebrating with 30 of our family members & closest friends was the perfect way to go! With travel being the way that we met, fell in love, and started dating, and therefore a huge part of who we are and our relationship, we thought a destination wedding would be perfect. So Lake Como, Italy, it is! We recognize that you're traveling to be a part of our day and celebrate with us, and we appreciate it so much! So we've compiled some information to help make planning easier. Of course, if there's any questions or anything at all that we can help with, feel free to reach out to either of us.

Love,

Madeleine & Paul

The Location & Logistics:

Our venue is the Villa Regina Teodolinda, in Laglio, Lake Como, Italy. It is located on the west side of Lake Como, about 1 hour from the airport.

The best airport to fly into is Milan Malpensa, airport code MXP.

We will be in the area from August 15th-August 22nd, and would love to spend time with any of you before/after the wedding day. We know that many of you are planning to stay in Italy for several days around the wedding!

Lodging:

We've compiled a couple of lists of accommodations close to the venue. All of these range from 5-30 minutes away from the Villa, should have a pool (but double check if that's important to you), and there's a huge range in cost per night, for a range of budgets (from $20 per night per person, up to $175). Please note that they all had availability when we put the list together, but being a popular time of year in Italy, have been booking quickly. We recommend booking soon, and most of them have great 100% refund policies if you need to cancel and switch to another location. The lists below also have a range of how many people can stay in each place, and a mix of villas and hotels/bed and breakfasts. We have entered 8/15-8/22 as the dates for each place, but that can of course be adjusted to the actual day/days that you plan to stay!

Things To Do:

There's of course so much to see and do in Italy, if you wanted to break up your trip into seeing different areas. There are lots of cute areas around Lake Como, but you can also go a little further out. We've done day trips with the company Viator in the past and enjoyed it for an easy, stress-free day trip. Below is a list to their top 10 day trips from Milan to give you an idea:

We hope this is helpful as you're planning your trip, and we cannot be more thrilled to celebrate with you! Again, please feel free to reach out to either of us with any questions or if there's anything we can help with :)
