Q: WHAT MAKES YOUR WORK DIFFERENT FROM OTHER PHOTOGRAPHERS’ WORK?
A: I really focus on offering the best client experience possible! I know you have a gazillion (right?) things on your mind as you plan your big day or photoshoot, so my job is to make the process easier! My photography style is very candid, meaning you’ll end up with photographs that preserve memories and emotion, on top of how things looked. And of course, my aim is to make you feel as comfortable as possible! By putting you at ease and creating a fun experience, we’ll get the most natural, timeless images!
Q: WILL WE GET THE PRINT RELEASE TO OUR PHOTOS AFTER OUR WEDDING?
A: Absolutely! These are your photos and memories, so I want you to enjoy them as much as possible! I do offer professional prints and albums, but you always have the option to use my professional lab or one of your choice.
Q: HOW MANY PHOTOGRAPHERS WILL BE THERE AT OUR WEDDING?
A: I believe so much in the importance of a second photographer, that for packages including 6+ hours, there will always be two of us. This allows us to get multiple angles and be as efficient as possible, ensuring the best coverage!
Q: Have you been to our venue before?
A: It depends! I’ve photographed countless venues, but there are so many in the world, that it may be a new one to me! If this is the case, I’m happy to arrange a walk-through beforehand!
Q: WILL WE GET FEATURED IN A MAGAZINE OR BLOG?
A: Although many of my sessions and weddings do get featured, this is not something that is guaranteed. Most publishers are looking for colorful, uniquely designed weddings, and I’m happy to chat about this if it’s of interest!
Q: DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH ELOPEMENTs, proposals, rehearsal dinners, and other events?
A: Of course! Depending on availability and the number of hours you have set aside for photography, I have special packages for all of these.
Q: DO I HAVE TO ORDER PRINTS THROUGH YOU?
A: I highly recommend ordering prints through our professional vendors, but it is not required. the difference in quality is huge when it comes to ordering through a professional lab, so I encourage you to let me help with prints, albums, canvases, and more!
Q: WE’RE HAVING A DESTINATION WEDDING. DO YOU TRAVEL?
A: Yes! Traveling is near and dear to my heart (it’s how I fell in love with both photography and my own husband)! Please tell me more about your travel plans, and we will create a custom wedding collection to suit your needs.
Q: DO you shoot digital or film photographs?
A: Both! Remember the old school rolls of film that your parents and grandparents used? They were really onto something, because it is beautiful and timeless! It renders true-to-life colors, is very flattering on all skin tones, handles light extremely well, and has an indescribable gorgeous texture. I am a hybrid photographer, meaning I use a combination of the latest digital gear and classic medium format film to create your images. Both digital and film cameras have their strengths, so why choose one or the other when we can give you the best of both worlds? The images you’ve seen in my portfolio are a combination of both mediums, and much like my portfolio, you will not be able to tell the difference in your gallery. The digital images will be edited to look like film, so you will have a perfectly cohesive final collection!
Q: WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?
A: For digital, I use all of the latest Canon professional equipment, high quality memory cards, and top of the line lenses. Both myself and the second photographer always have backups as well, in the rare event that anything should happen to one of our pieces. For film, I use a medium format camera with professional rolls of film.
Q: What if we feel awkward on camera?
A: You’re in great hands! I’ve heard from countless clients (yes, even grooms!) over the years that they really enjoyed their photo sessions and felt at ease. I have tons of tricks up my sleeve to make you feel comfortable on camera, which is how we will produce the most natural images!
Q: DO YOU HAVE A LIST OF PREFERRED VENDORS TO USE?
A: I sure do! From wedding planners to florists, hair, makeup, and anything else you could need, I’ve worked with incredible professionals over the years. I’m happy to provide a customized list!
Q: HOW DO WE RESERVE OUR WEDDING DATE or session?
A: A 50% retainer fee and signed contract are required in order to get your date on the calendar. One month prior to your wedding or session, the remainder of the balance is due. That is also when we will do our final preparation call, to ensure we can be as efficient as possible on the day of!
